Timefolio 2024 Winners Match Play, Korea's first dream mentoring golf competition

The 'Timefolio 2024 Winners Match Play', which celebrates its 3rd anniversary this year, will be held at the Blackstone Jeju South and East courses for two days from the 26th to the 27th.

'Timefolio 2024 Winners Match Play' is a competition in which one KPGA Tour player and one male player from the Korea Elementary School Golf Association (hereinafter referred to as the Elementary School Federation) pair up to play together. This tournament, which debuted in 2022, provides junior players with a generous opportunity to demonstrate their skills and has been evaluated as the best mentor-mentee program between tour players and aspiring golfers.

The competition will be played in a scramble format (each player takes a tee shot and then takes the next shot from a better point) with one KPGA player and one elementary school player in a group of two.

This tournament will be led by 'defending champion' Seo Yo-seop (28. DB Insurance), 2023 Genesis prize money king Sang-hyun Park (41. Dong-A Pharmaceutical), and Choi Seung-bin (22), winner of the 2023 '66th KPGA Championship with A-ONE CC'. .CJ), including Kim Bio (34. Hoban Construction) with a total of 10 wins, Kim Dong-min (26. NH Nonghyup Bank), Han Seung-soo (38. Hana Financial Group), Lee Jae-kyung (25. CJ), Kim Min-gyu (23. CJ), Bae Yong-jun (24.CJ), Choi Jin-ho (40.Cowell), Lee Tae-hee (40.OK Savings Bank), Moon Kyung-jun (42.NH Nonghyup Bank), Kwon Seong-yeol (38.BRIC), Jang Dong-gyu (36.Amazing Cree), Jang Yu-bin (22) .Shinhan Financial Group) and Jo Woo-young (23. Seo Yo-seop, who is trying to win the competition for the second time in a row, said, "It is meaningful to participate once again as the defending champion this year following last year," and expressed his determination, "As the season is not far away, I will do my best to succeed in winning the tournament for the second time in a row." .

The total prize money for this competition is 150 million won (winner’s prize is 50 million won). The amount is distributed differentially based on performance only to KPGA Tour players. A total of 55 million won worth of training and academic environments will be provided to players belonging to the elementary school league, which will also serve as a catalyst for nurturing talent that will lead Korean professional golf.

‘Timefolio 2024 Winners Match Play’ is scheduled to be broadcast on SBS Golf 2, the broadcaster hosted by KPGA, in April.
