"Shocking! Attacking the home fans" Capturing the scene of the assault, a victory ceremony marred by violence

A shocking incident occurred. Home fans were seen assaulting opposing players. There were concerns that there was no safe place for players.

Portsmouth has won the English Football League (EFL) League 1 (tertiary league). Portsmouth defeated Barnsley 3 to 2 in the 40th round held at Fratton Park in Portsmouth, England on Sunday. The victory was their first championship promotion in 12 years after the 2011-12 season.

The home stadium was filled with waves of joy. It had a similar atmosphere to when Leverkusen won its first-ever league title in the German Bundesliga not long ago. Home fans flocked to the ground and enjoyed the joy of winning and being promoted. It is a moving and beautiful scene.

But Leverkusen and Portsmouth were different. There was an unfortunate 'car in the roof.' As Portsmouth home fans were pouring onto the ground, a player from the opposing team, Barnsley, was passing by. Then, some of the home fans were spotted hitting the player in the head and running away. The player covered his head and complained of pain. This was reported by the British Sun.

It is impossible. No matter how happy you are or hate your opponent, assaulting a player is unacceptable. The Sun reported, "It was a shocking moment when Portsmouth fans attacked Barnsley," adding, "When the winner was confirmed, Portsmouth home fans poured onto the ground and attacked Barnsley."

Soccer fans raised their voices of concern as the video spread. Soccer fans responded by saying, "There is no safe place for players. Portsmouth failed to protect the safety of its opponents. It's shocking."

"We have reached out to local police, who say they are aware of the incident but have not made an official report at this time," The Sun said. "We have also contacted Portsmouth and Barnsley, but we have yet to hear back."
