‘Second top 10 of the season’ Lee Kyung-hoon rises 1 place in world rankings

Lee Gyeong-hoon (33, CJ), who entered the top 10 for the second time on the PGA Tour this season, moved up one place in the men's golf world rankings and ranked 89th.

Lee Gyeong-hoon ranked 89th in the men's golf world rankings announced on the 25th (Korean time), one notch higher than 90th last week.

Kyung-Hoon Lee lost two strokes in the final round of the PGA Tour Valspar Championship (total prize money of $8.4 million) that ended today and tied for 9th place with a final total of 7 under par 277 strokes.

With this, Kyung-Hoon Lee ranked in the top 10 for the second time following the Cognizant Classic, where he ranked 4th.

Kim Joo-hyung (22, Nike) dropped two places from 20th last week to 22nd, but boasted the highest ranking among Korean players.

Lim Seong-jae (26), An Byeong-hun (33), and Kim Si-woo (29, CJ) followed Kim Joo-hyung in 37th, 42nd, and 45th place, respectively.

Peter Malnaughty (USA), who reached the top of the PGA Tour for the first time in nine years by winning the Valspar Championship, jumped from 184th to 65th last week.

Scotty Scheffler (USA) maintained 1st place, while Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) and Jon Lam (Spain) maintained 2nd and 3rd place.
