Actor Ryu Joon-yeol caddied in the Par 3 Contest

Actor Ryu Joon-yeol caddied in the Par 3 Contest, a pre-opening event of the Masters Tournament, the first major of the men's golf season.

Ryu Jun-yeol caddied for this year's Masters Tournament competitor Kim Joo-hyung at the Masters Tournament Par-3 Contest at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, on Nov. 11 (KST).

The Par 3 Contest is a pre-Masters event where players compete on nine par-3 holes at the venue.

Due to the intimate nature of the event, players often have their wives, girlfriends, children, or friends caddie for them, while the caddies take the shots.

Ryu Jun-yeol, an avid golfer, knew Kim Joo-hyung through church and caddied for the par-3 contest.

Ryu dressed up in a white caddie suit and green hat, which is unique to the Masters.

Ryu, who also held the putter for Kim on the green, teed off himself on the ninth hole. After dropping his first tee shot into the water, Ryu hit a 130-yard shot on his second attempt for par.

Kim Joo-hyung, who played alongside Scotty Schaeffler and Sam Burns (USA), later posted a photo of Ryu, his companions, and a video of Ryu's shot on his social media account, writing, "My brother, it was so nice to make good memories together."

Rickie Fowler won this year's par-3 contest at 5-under par. It was the first time in four years that he had competed in the par-3 contest since 2020, and he was joined by his wife and daughter.

Jeff Straka (AUS) finished second at 3-under par.
