LET Aramco Team Series to be held in Korea in May

he European Women's Professional Golf (LET) Tour 'Aramco Team Series' (total prize money of $1 million, approximately 1.38 billion won), sponsored by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund (PIF), will be held in Korea.

According to the competition organizing committee on the 23rd, the Aramco Team Series will be held at New Korea CC in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for three days starting from the 10th of next month.

This competition is the second in an international series touring five countries this year, and is the first to be held in Korea.

In this competition, 36 teams consisting of three professional players and one amateur player compete for the championship trophy, and on the last day of the competition, professional players compete for individual titles.

Kim Hyo-joo (Lotte), ranked 10th in the world and active in the LPGA Tour, and Danielle Kang, a Korean-American, will participate in this tournament.

Kim Hyo-joo said, "I heard how special the Aramco Team Series is, and I know it is on a similar level to the LPGA Tour major tournaments. In particular, as soon as I heard that it would be held in Korea for the first time, I decided to participate."

He continued, “I’m looking forward to it because the format of the competition is truly unique. This is my first time participating in a competition with this kind of game management system.” He added, “I will do my best to compete with fellow LPGA players on Korean soil and show off a high level of performance to the gallery.” said.

Daniel Kang expressed his feelings about participating, saying, "I am really happy to participate in the Aramco Team Series held in Korea. I am already excited to play with great golfers from the LPGA and LET."
